Supporting cultural work in Westphalia-Lippe with endowments and donations
Endowments or donations are a contribution to the sustainable development of the cultural landscape in the region.
Endowments
This is all the more important as, even with low inflation rates, the foundation’s capital decreases in real terms every year if it is not regularly increased through endowments. The endowments themselves must not be used directly for the realization of the purpose and thus strengthen the foundation’s options in the long term.
If you decide to support the LWL-Kulturstiftung in this way, please expressly designate your donation as an endowment when transferring or handing it over. Otherwise, for tax law reasons, the Foundation will be forced to use your donation promptly for the Foundation’s activities and not add it to the capital stock.
Doubling fund
In this way, the LWL provides support in several ways: It rewards private-sector donor commitment and, together with you, increases the foundation’s funding opportunities in the long term. For regulatory reasons, the LWL’s endowment volume is currently limited to 13 million euros.
Donations
Unlike endowments, donations must be used directly. Please state a project name when making the transfer if you wish your donation to benefit a project.
