1980–1984–1988: These are the years in which the Interdisciplinary Research Group on Women’s Studies (IFF), the Fraze Women’s Cultural Center, and the LARa Lesbian Archive were founded. All of them have shaped feminist history in Bielefeld—and continue to do so to this day!

How have IFF, Fraze, and LARa evolved over the years? And what role does Bielefeld University play in their past, present, and future? Women who were there from the beginning and have remained involved share the changes these organizations’ activists have brought about and the memories they have preserved through their archival work.
