LWL-Kulturstiftung and LWL present cultural program for the anniversary year "1250 years of Westphalia"

Several hundred events and offerings on the stages, in the exhibition halls and cultural venues in Westphalia-Lippe fill the region’s cultural calendar this year: 1,250 years after the first mention of Westphalia, the LWL-Kulturstiftung, together with the Landschaftsverband Westfalen-Lippe (LWL), presents the cultural program for the anniversary year 1250 years of Westphalia and looks ahead to the upcoming highlights:

44 cultural projects highlight various events and personalities that have shaped Westphalia’s history in exhibitions, stage shows, crossover projects, events on building culture, film, regional studies, literature, music as well as hands-on activities and podcasts. With current artistic positions, they are intended to provide impetus for current and future challenges in the region. The cultural program for the anniversary year 2025 1250 years of Westphalia is under the patronage of Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier.
