The exhibition focused on Werner Ruhnau's expanded understanding of architecture, whose career began in Westphalia. It brought the architect's spatial experiences, creative ideas and concepts to life. Conceived and presented at the Baukunstarchiv NRW in Dortmund, it took place in cooperation with the Theater Münster and the Musiktheater im Revier in Gelsenkirchen - two buildings that Ruhnau had a decisive influence on.
The exhibition is accompanied by the catalog “Werner Ruhnau. Building for the open society. Werk, Nachlass, Kontext” has been published in the Baukunstarchiv NRW series.
