The exhibition focuses on Werner Ruhnau's expanded understanding of architecture, whose career began in Westphalia. It brings the architect's spatial experiences, creative ideas and concepts to life. Conceived and presented at the Baukunstarchiv NRW in Dortmund, it takes place in cooperation with the Theater Münster and the Musiktheater im Revier in Gelsenkirchen - two buildings that Ruhnau has significantly influenced.
The exhibition will be accompanied by a catalog in the Baukunstarchiv NRW series: Werner Ruhnau. Building for the open society. Work, inventory, context, ed. Wolfgang Sonne
