Pull yourselves up! Jewish activists from Westphalia in the first women’s movement

Jewish Museum of Westphalia, Dorsten
Exhibition

About the project

Westphalian Jewish women were just as committed to women's rights as non-Jewish women in the region. They were involved in regional and national women's movement groups and thus also gave Jewish women a voice in Westphalian democracy. Ottilie Schoenewald from Bochum, Jeanette Wolff from Bocholt, Rosi Wolfstein from Witten and others - their activism can still inspire, encourage and promote community today.
