Starting in October 2027, the Huelsmann Museum and the Bielefeld Historical Museum will highlight the work and legacy of Bauhaus artist Benita Koch-Otte in Westphalia in the exhibition “Meine liebste Otte” (My Dearest Otte). As the long-time director of the weaving workshop at Bethel, she had a decisive influence on it. To mark the 50th anniversary of her death, the Bielefeld museums in Ravensberger Park are participating in a series of exhibitions in collaboration with the Saxony-Anhalt Art Foundation and the Bauhaus Museum Weimar, while also highlighting the regional connections in the textile artist’s work.
