Beyond the borders: Puppet Theater & Migration

The Fidena special program "Jenseits der Grenzen: Figurentheater & Migration" tells a sensitive story of migration in four productions and counters the often negative reporting with a tangible dose of humanity. As part of the Fidena Research Center, students from Bochum, Bielefeld and Stuttgart are placing a special thematic focus on puppet theater and migration. They communicate their findings and experiences on this and other areas of discourse in the Fidena program in their own magazine and on a blog. For the content, they talk to artists, audiences and people behind the festival scenes.
