To mark the 100th birthday of the Westphalian composer Hans Werner Henze (1926 - 2012), the Institute for Cultural Work of the City of Recklinghausen is hosting a series of concerts and events in spring 2026. Under the title "Henze Einhundert", 15 events in Bottrop, Gelsenkirchen and Münster, among others, will highlight various focal points of the composer's work, which will be presented in the context of his time, artistic influences and socio-political references.
