Only the victory of the Franks at Brunsberg in 775 made it possible for Charlemagne to cross the Weser. The exhibition traced the events and allowed visitors to immerse themselves in the historical events in interactive experience rooms: Diet of Düren, Battle of Brunsberg and church service in the Kilianikirche in Höxter. From here, a path with information boards leads along the Weser and via the deserted town of Corvey to Corvey Abbey, which still allows visitors to experience the historical context on site today.
