In the Imperial Palace in Paderborn a base for Charlemagne during the Saxon Wars the public can stroll through Westphalia’s history. The multifaceted development of the region since it was first mentioned in 775 is brought to life on around a thousand square meters of art-historical, historical and archaeological exhibits.
